KIMAX® flasks are used in the analysis of dry shellac and shellac varnishes with Wijs iodine monochloride solution and may be used to determine the total iodine value of oils, fatty acids and bodied oils with Rosenmund-Kuhnhenn reagent (ASTM D1541, withdrawn 2006). Supplied with size 22, yellow-handled PTFE stopper. Heights shown below are without stopper. Designed from ASTM Specification E1404, Type II, Class III requirements and manufactured from 33 expansion, low extractable borosilicate glass conforming to USP Type I and ASTM E438, Type I, Class A requirements.
