Acid-Washed TCLP Filters are made specifically for evaluating the mobility of metals. They are prepared in a consistent procedure which reduces blank variability and typically provides lower background metals levels than are achieved with on-site filter preparation. These filters are washed in 1N HNO3 acid and then rinsed three times with copious amounts of deionized water. Each rinse uses more than one liter of deionized water per filter. The filters are then oven dried at 105°C prior to final conversion.
