This tube is from quartz and can replace the OEM stainless steel pre-packed tube. The big advantage of quartz, is that you can see the progress of the consumption of the reagents. If you notice the copper oxide portion being used more quickly than expected, you can adjust by either increasing the oxygen dosing, or reducing the amount of post combustion tube reagent being used.
