SIGMA 20532
General Description
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) is a fluoropolymer which is the most lubricious polymer with low co-effcient of friction. PTFE tubing is chosen due to its excellent hydrophobicity, chemical inertness, and ability to withstand high pressures. It can be suitable to protect the optical fibres.
- Maximum Temperature - 200°C
Application
PTFE tubing may be used to connect the gas lines to the ports during gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis of volatile organic compounds from potato tubers inoculated with Phytophthora infestans or Fusarium coeruleum.
