Midland Scientific Announces Opening of New State-of-the-Art Davenport Building

Davenport, IA, Nov. 13, 2020—On November 20^th 2020, Midland Scientific will open its new, expanded location in Davenport, Iowa. Since opening the original facility in 1977 the location has allowed the company to offer strategic benefits to customers located throughout Iowa, Illinois, and beyond. This new, expanded location will allow the company to continue to expand its offerings and delivery capabilities to customers in both the Quad Cities region and across North America. After another year of record growth, this location will allow the company to have the capacity to continue to grow as Midland Scientific has done throughout its 45 year history, while still providing the same level of unparalleled personal service as was provided to MSI’s original customers in 1975.

As the location was built to suit, Midland Scientific worked to ensure that the building would meet the highest level of sustainability standards as possible. Partnering with Iowa Solar, the building will be completely solar powered with a goal of producing 125% solar energy. Additionally, the building will feature “a variety of environmentally conscious features including, but not limited to, low GPM plumbing fixtures, tinted glass, high efficiency HVAC equipment, and R-25 wall insulation and R-38 roof insulation,” announced Midland Scientific’s sustainability coordinator, Alex Holida.
