Midland Scientific, Inc. Responds to Destructive Storm
Midland Scientific, Inc. would like to thank its dedicated team members for their response to the devastating derecho that swept across the Midwest last week. Because of their strategic response, MSI was able to prevent significant delays in delivery and ensure its customers were able to carry out their testing on schedule.
On Monday, August 8th at 2:30 PM, the Midland Scientific location in Davenport lost power and internet due to the storm. Immediately, team members began working diligently to ensure orders for that day and the next went out on time. This meant traveling to MSI’s other location to print off orders, working without power and light, and working from early in the morning to late at night. In addition, MSI employees acted quickly to secure a generator to power refrigerators so that products would still meet industry standards required for temperature control.
Midland Scientific, Inc. thanks its employees at its Davenport location—many of whom worked whilst having damage and power outages at their personal homes—as well as its other locations who went above and beyond to assist the Davenport location. President Vivian Greni stated, “The damage from the storm was immense. I am so proud of our Midland Team. We were able to provide our customers with their needed supplies, so they could continue to operate their facilities in a real time of crisis. Having backup systems and being able to disperse personnel from other locations in the Midwest, made this all possible.”
