Water, PCR Grade is specially purified, double-distilled, deionized, and autoclaved. The production process ensures that even according to Roche 's strict Quality Control procedures the water does not contain detectable amounts of nucleic acid. It is routinely tested in PCR with conventional thermal cyclers and with LightCycler® Instruments.
