Millipore Sigma™ Turbiquant® 1100 Turbidimeter
Turbidity is a measure of water quality. A liquid is cloudy if it contains insoluble suspended matter (particles, bacteria).
- Sufficient autonomy for more than 5000 measurements
- Greater accuracy and non-toxic ready-to-use standards
- Portable, battery-operated for on-site analysis
These particles scatter incident light in many directions. Light reflected at 90 degrees is measured. Nephelometry is the measurement of turbidity. The clearer the liquid, the lower the turbidity. The unit of measurement used is the NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units). Drinking water has a maximum of 5 NTU, with wastewater exceeding 2000 NTU.
Accuracy:
±2.0% gold ± last decimal place NTU (0 - 500); ±3,0% of measured value (500 - 1100)

ISO 7027
Lighting Type:
Tungsten
Turbidity Range:
0.01 to 1100 NTU
